Crystal Mullenix is the woman behind the vision for Crystal's Spa and Salon. For 27 years, Crystal has done hair, at times it seems that she even performs magic, behind the  salon chair, and she still loves to do hair. After 17 years of renting a booth in someone else's salon, she opened her own spa and salon, bringing with her friendships, fun, and most of all, laughter.She has been cutting the hair of special needs adults the entire time she has been doing hair and find it to be a very rewarding way to to give back.. In the last two years has been honored to be a part of our are Special Olympics.

Crystal's vision was to take people beyond the basic wash and cut. She wanted to turnaround a  bad days and improve on the good days, With music, smiles, laughter and  with loving caring energy. Crystal has created just that at Crystal's Spa & Salon, Her staff is composed of exceptionally skilled, professionally trained massage therapists, estheticians, hair stylists and make-up consultants who are all available and eager to serve YOU!

 

Hair Stylists

Bridget Salay has been doing hair in the local area since 2003, and has worked at Crystal's since 2007. She loves working with the public and meeting new people. Bridget is skilled in almost all of the great services Crystal’s has to offer. She is also extremely knowledgeable in color, cuts, aesthetics,he takes advantage of the many classes crystal offers which add in expanding her creativity on trends, fashion often and so much more. Whether you are looking for a shampoo and blow out, a new haircut, a relaxing scalp massage, a new dimensional hair color, a facial, or even a relaxing pedicure with. a deep massage. Bridget guarantees you will be leaving totally relaxed and feeling wonderful. After one cut with Bridget you will see why crystal is the place for you a home away from home.

 

Heather Prince has been doing hair since 2007 and has worked at Crystal's since 2008. She is full of energy, is enthusiastic and loves meeting people and making them feel and look great. To Heather, a client is never just a client-- making sure they feel comfortable and confident with her is her number one priority. She excels in coloring hair and Infusion Extensions, it is one of her many strong points. Heather's hair cutting skills are quite extensive as she is always keeping up with new techniques, and styles and attends the many classes crystal offers her staff regularly. Heather also enjoys providing excellent service for those Curly Girls out there who have a difficult time finding that perfect style. So if your looking for a new, fun, and exciting style, stop in and see her, her personality and unique, style will definitely keep you coming back.

 

Karen Blanchard has been a hair stylist for 20 years. She excels in multi-dimensional color. Karen's skills are very extensive you will often hear her educating her clients as she works on them. She is very knowledgeable in every aspect in this industry. Her magnetic personality and her caring nature will make you feel confident in her abilities. She is  certified  from TST BOCES, she was also the recipient of the Alfred Scholarship. Karen attend many redkin  classes before coming o crystals and is now taking advantage of crystals hospitality and attending more classes while working with her and the staff you can never have to much knowledge and she loves what she dose as well as the people she meets. Keeping up with current style, cuts, and colors is so important for today's smart consumer.  If you are looking for someone with a lot of experience, and tons of knowledge...come and see Karen she will provide excellent service to you.

 

Jaime Boyle has been doing hair since 2007. She just recently joined the team here at Crysta's Spa. Jaime's number one priority is staying up on current styles,  techniques, and education. To her staying educated means keeping her clients educated. Jaime excels in coloring, perming, facials and pedicures. She truly enjoys turning someones bad day into something beautiful. So if you are looking for great conversation and someone who will work hard to make your day by enhancing your beauty stop in and give her a shot!

Nicole Munoz has been an Aesthetician since 2009. Her passion for skin care led her to her career choice. Nicole believes skin care starts inside and how you take care of yourself will affect how your skin will look. She loves to help her clients find just the right remedy for their skin and her strong personality motivates her to help them until they figure it all out. Nicole will do her very best to give your skin that beautiful, healthy glow you know you deserve!

 

Nail Technician

Shannon Stratton has been doing nails since 2003. She joined the team here at Crystal's in 2010. She specializes in hot stone pedicures, as well as regular pedicures, Shannon also does reflexology pedicures. Manicures are also a forte of hers. Her soft touch on your hands and feet will help give your feet and hands that soft touch you desire as well. It is human nature to abuse our feet and hands, and it is in her nature to help them feel soft and relieved. So if you want your feet and hands to look their best come in and let Shannon pamper the hands and feet we abuse everyday.

 

Massage Therapists

April Phanhthalath, LMT has been practicing massage since 2003. She offers Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pregnancy, Thai, and now Yoga-sage. She attended Massage School in Buffalo, New York where she became a massage therapist for many of the Buffalo Bills players, coaches, and trainers. She also worked with the New York Jets Football Team while they were in Cortland. She is also certified by Aveda as a Makeup Artist. As a makeup artist she also did makeup for the Buffalo Jill’s Cheerleader Squad.  She was a Power Yoga Instructor and also held classes for the Buffalo Bills Team, she now offers private sessions here at Crystal's too. April’s strong, but gentle touch shows her caring personality towards helping to heal the body, mind, and spirit.

Brenna Baker, LMT has been practicing massage since 2008. She graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. Brenna enjoys massage because it gives her a feeling that she is helping someone feel better, and in making them feel better she likes to make sure they know the importance of massage. Brenna has worked with the public, since 2004 and realizes that all client needs are different and she strives to make sure each person is treated as the individual they are, and  makes them her top priority.

Abby Schnellinger, LMT  is a graduate from Finger lakes School of Massage. She has been practicing massage since 2007. Her specialties are Swedish, and Deep Tissue. She likes to speak to each client as an individual not just another client, Each person to Abby has a unique sense of touch, and she consults with them before there massage, so she can make each massage specific to the clients needs. She takes the time to explain to each person the importance of maintenance after each massage.  Because to Abby the beginnings and the ends are as important as the massage itself.
