About Crystal & Her Spa Team Crystal Mullenix is the woman behind the vision for Crystal's Spa and Salon. For 25 years, Crystal has performed her art behind the beauty salon chair, and she still loves to do hair. After 17 years of renting a booth in someone else's salon, she opened her own- bringing with her friendships, fun and, most of all, laughter. Nakisha Johnson has been licensed for 5 ½ years and has been working at Crystal’s for 2 years. Nakisha loves being around people and socializing and making them feel good. She is always willing to go to classes to expand her knowledge and skills. She will give you a new look by changing your hair from long to short or short to long by adding extensions. She can even help you find the best color for your hair. Nakisha loves pampering everyone whether it is a hair appointment or even relaxing with a pedicure or a facial. Bridget Salay has been doing hair in the local area for six years. Bridget loves working with the public and meeting new people. Bridget is skilled in almost all of the great services Crystal’s has to offer. Whether you are looking for a shampoo and blow out, a new haircut or even a relaxing scalp massage, a new dimensional hair color, a facial, or even a relaxing pedicure with a deep massage. Bridget is sure you will be leaving totally relaxed and feeling wonderful. Betty Joseph is our Spa Manager, Receptionist extraordinaire, her kind voice will be the first you hear and her smiling face will be the first you see. Betty has lived in the Ithaca area her entire life and has worked for Crystal’s for two years. Betty has always worked in the customer service field and customer satisfaction has always been her number one priority. Whether you need to make an appointment for one treatment one person or several appointments for several people she is your go to person. April Phanhthalath, LMT has been practicing massage for 6 years. She offers Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pregnancy, and Thai Massage. She attended Massage School in Buffalo, New York where she became a massage therapist for many of the Buffalo Bills players, coaches, and trainers. She is also certified by Aveda as a Makeup Artist. As a makeup artist she also did makeup for the Buffalo Jill’s Cheerleading Squad. She was a Power Yoga Instructor and also held classes for the Buffalo Bills Team. April’s strong, but gentle touch shows her caring personality towards helping to heal the body, mind, and spirit. Heather Prince has been doing hair since 2007. She is full of energy, is enthusiastic and loves meeting people and making them feel and look great. To Heather, a client is never just a client-- making sure they feel comfortable and confident with her is her number one priority. She loves cutting hair and coloring it in a way that will enhance your natural beauty. But, if you want funky and hip, she can do that as well!
